005 [Action] Another Nightmare

Estelle had been quietly kidnapped by droids just as everyone had started to regain their memories. She had been gone for several days now, and finally has returned. She's standing in the middle of the square, near the fountain. She looks to be herself at first glance. However, if anyone were to take a closer look, or knows her for that matter, she would seem a little... off.

The girl is standing there... just... standing there. Her eyes seem empty with a vacant expression. As if she's just staring into nothingness. Strange.

Those that approach her may gain no response or a nasty surprise.

((OOC: Estelle has been brainwashed! She's essentially a lifeless doll that will react very little.

Note: If anyone tries to touch her she may react violently, so be prepared for that. Think of it as Colette's condition when she was lifeless in ToS. She will be like this for nearly three days before going back to normal.

[It's a good thing Patty happened to be out and about. When she spots Estelle standing in the square, she doesn't think twice about how odd it looks. She just dashes over there as fast as her legs can carry her.]

Estelle! You're back!

[Unfortunately Estelle just continues to stand there. She doesn't even bat an eye as her name is called and Patty runs up to her.]

[Patty moves in front of Estelle and peers up into her face, but that's when she notices something is wrong. That expression- those eyes... It can't be.]

... Estelle?

[Still no response. She doesn't even look down at her.]

[Oh no... No no no! How could this happen? There's no Apatheia, no aer, no Dein Nomos or anything even remotely close... Can the Malnosso really replicate a state like this even without all those things?]

Estelle... Ah... We should go see Rita. Will you come see Rita with me? [And she takes a few steps back, to see if Estelle will follow.]

[Alexei would have been fine just ignoring her, except for the fact she was just standing there and was just staring blankly ahead at nothing.

It was...almost familiar somehow. Upon closer inspection, it dawns to him that she looked like the time he had used her, but...well it's not like he's controlling her now and he wasn't sure that it was even possible here.]

[Estelle doesn't react in any way to Alexei's presence or words. Clearly atypical of the princess.]

...Hm. [No response to him. That's rather unfortunate. At least he might have been able to do something. Wonder what the Malnosso did exactly?

He comes closer to her.]

[Something screams danger about this man, and while Estelle does tense a bit, there is no further reaction.]

[Had he brought his False Dein Nomos he could examine her right now, but since it's back home, he's going to have to move her. Or maybe he could actually open up the panel for her at least.

He reaches a hand out towards her.]

[Fattycakes stops Estelle and scoots right on over, oblivious that there is anything wrong with her.]

Estelle! Estelle! Hello-puu! Am I happy to see you!

[Estelle just continued to stand there unmoving. She doesn't even notice the little fluffball at her feet.]

...Puu? Estelle? It's Fattycakes. Are you OK? [He bumps her experimentally to see if that'll do anything.] Puu buu!

[The bump seems to trigger a sort of.. instinctive knee jerk reaction. In the form of a boot kicking at the Puffski.]

Wahhh! [He wasn't quite hit, but he's still shaken nonetheless.] No... Estelle! Did the Mal-No-Nos get to you too? Noooo! First Norma-puu, now Estelle-puu! Waaaaaahhhh! [Suddenly, he gets an idea.] Wait! I'll be right back!

[Fattycakes leaves, and then comes back with a large, broad leaf. This is the Pura leaf that Puffskis typically eat, but it has other uses too. He starts rubbing it against Estelle's ankle, hoping some of its medicinal effects may seep through.] Puuu... I hope this works...

[Spock just happens to be wandering around this of town.... Miss Estelle?]

Greetings Lady Estelle, how are you this evening?

[Spock might as well be talking to a brick wall, because all he gets his silence and a blank stare.]

[Spock takes a closer look at her face... there does appear to be a medical complication. Spock glanced around.... there was no one else...

Spock gently put his hand and her arm...]

Estelle?

[There is no warning as Estelle's other fist suddenly shoots up from below, aiming for Spock's jaw.]

[Spock catches her fist before it made contact with his face and holds it there....]

Miss Estelle? I will give you one more warning, are you able to comply?

[Richard's just on his way in to work at Seventh Heaven when he spots a familiar form near the fountain. Unaware that she was kidnapped (or that anything is wrong at all), he approaches her with a smile.]

I haven't seen you in a while. How have you--

[And it's then he notices the empty look in her eyes and recoils somewhat, startled and confused.]

... Estelle?

[As Richard approaches, she fixes him with that lifeless stare. There is no smile, no friendly greeting as she would normally do.

While she doesn't move just yet, her body tenses as if preparing for some sort of attack.]

[Richard tenses as well, on guard and ready to cast in an instant should it be necessary, but not wanting to harm her unless absolutely necessary. It's clear that something is very, very wrong; he just doesn't know what it is yet.]

Can you hear me? Do you know who I am?

[Again there is no answer. Estelle merely stares at Richard like a lifeless doll. She hasn't determined him to be a threat yet, so she makes no move.]

What have they done to you...

[It's murmured more to himself than to her as he stands there, trying to decide what to do next. At last he extends a cautious hand to her, palm up, trying to be as nonthreatening as possible.]
