[ Estelle didn't exactly wake up in the most comfortable position. She was sprawled on the floor of the library, face down. Eventually she started to stir and groaned a little before pushing herself up into a sitting position. Kneeling, with her hands folded in her lap, the girl blinked a few times as she began to look around. This was an unfamiliar place, and yet not unpleasant, since she was surrounded by books. Confusion was written all over her features as she attempted to get her bearings. Just where was she anyway? Her mind was foggy and she was generally disoriented. Not to mention she looked a little silly just sitting there, having absolutely no clue what was going on. It finally occurred to her that she should maybe look around. Standing up, she took a few steps forward and peeked around a bookcase.]

Really? But... I just saw you a few days ago.

[She hadn't gotten to that part in the guide just yet.]

That'll be the time difference thing. Think of it as time stops back home for ya while yer here, so whilst you saw me two day ago, last time I saw you was when ya were here before.

[There is a pause and a look of uncertainty. So... he knew about her being here before, too? This place is just so strange.]

I... I don't remember being here.

[He stays silent for a moment before responding. He figured this might be the case, it wouldn't be the first time.]

Sometimes people come back with memories, other times they don't. Fer the time bein', don't let it get to ya.

[There's a little sigh, but she shakes her head and looks a bit more resolute.]

Hmm... [That's a difficult question to answer.]

It varies between person. Some people don't mind bein' here and accept the circumstances. Other's constantly seek a way ta go back home, hatin' being stuck here. I guess it's somethin' yer gonna have to decide fer yourself.

[She took a moment to think about this.]

I see. I... I'll do what I can to help. [It was really too early to make any real decision though. But, it didn't seem like there was a way to escape anyway. Or at least that's what everyone had told her so far.]

How many of us are here?

If ya mean from Terca Lumireis, then that'd be five of us. A lot of the people in this place were pulled from different worlds, so don't expect 'em ta understand things native to our own.

[Well that makes sense. She had already figured out the part about people being from other worlds.]

[He's suddenly reminded of the awkward timeline issue that's come up in the past, unsure of whether Estelle would be from the same path as he is or not.]

It might be a little easier fer you ta just come to house twelve. Basically, I'm here, you're here, then we've got Yuri & lil' Patty too. [Maybe mentioning that Alexei is here isn't such a good idea.] Uh, do ya mind if I ask what's the last thing ya remember before comin' here?

[Immediately at the mention of Yuri, Estelle's hands go to her mouth, eyes wide.]

I was looking for Yuri with Repede in Zaphias, after he fell from Zaude.

[So she's from an earlier point in time than he is. He'll make a mental note of that.]

Then I should warn you that Alexei is here as well.

[This really gets her attention and she looks up in surprise.]

The rules of the dead don't apply here, unfortunately. But in good news, he's never tried anythin' here. He's been on his best behaviour as fer as far as we know.

[Unfortunately or fortunately? Perhaps depending on who it was. Estelle didn't particularly want Alexei dead, but she wasn't exactly thrilled that he was around either.]

I see. How strange. [That was putting it lightly.]

Well, if he's not doing anything wrong, then... everything will be okay. [Relatively speaking.]

Oh, and he happens ta live directly opposite our house. [Because that's not exactly re-assuring but he might as well point it out now.]

Not that ya have to worry, he's never come any closer than that! Besides, we all live there, he wouldn't risk it.

[A very good point. Her friends were here. What reason did she have to fear?]
