 [ Estelle didn't exactly wake up in the most comfortable position. She was sprawled on the floor of the library, face down. Eventually she started to stir and groaned a little before pushing herself up into a sitting position. Kneeling, with her hands folded in her lap, the girl blinked a few times as she began to look around. This was an unfamiliar place, and yet not unpleasant, since she was surrounded by books. Confusion was written all over her features as she attempted to get her bearings. Just where was she anyway? Her mind was foggy and she was generally disoriented. Not to mention she looked a little silly just sitting there, having absolutely no clue what was going on. It finally occurred to her that she should maybe look around. Standing up, she took a few steps forward and peeked around a bookcase.]

[Backing up, her back hit up against the bookcase, causing her to wince slightly.]

[She then gave a shriek that was very unbefitting of a princess, especially in a library.]

The former you are right about. The latter on the other hand is just your own superstition. People at any point in time can be brought here, alive.

[Her hands were in front of her face, as if trying to shield herself from Alexei potentially consuming her soul.

[Lowering her hands she looked down, blinking. There was a shadow. Oh thank goodness! ... ]

I can't answer that, though I suppose the proper way to explain it is I was "shifted" here this way. [The fact she had to bring up his death again...it's a sour topic.]

Time and logic works differently in this place. [You can say, logic is just thrown out the window]

[Death is a sour topic for just about anybody, so its understandable. That doesn't make Estelle feel any less uneasy around him though, despite not being an apparition.]

Shifted? What does that mean?

[She still keeps her distance from Alexei. Everything that he did is still fresh in her mind.]

It means a number of things here, but it's just another way of saying alterations, changes caused by an unknown source. You'll hear that term a lot while you're here.

[Looking down, she folds her hands quietly. This isn't awkward at all! Talking to a dead man, that did terrible things to her, in such a casual manner. This is just a little creepy and disconcerting.]

I see.

[Realizing that her back against the bookcase felt very uncomfortable for some reason, she looks behind her and is startled by what she sees.]

I-I have wings?! [And these didn't just look like costume wings either. She looks back to Alexei and notices that he has them as well. Wings=Angels=Dead?!]

Am I dead too?! [Is this some sort of afterlife that she's found herself in?]

[You can walk away at anytime, Princess. Right now...he just kinda ponders over how the Council decided on Estellise to be the candidate to the throne.]

N-no. It's just strange.

[That question was more than a little creepy. Maybe leaving wouldn't be such a bad idea. Staying here alone with Alexei... it just didn't seem like a good idea.]
