004 [Action] (Backdated to Sept 1st)

[After the Kin'Corans had left and the power cap was back to normal, Estelle found herself waking up in her room. Last thing she remembered was being in the smithy, healing Yuri's wounds, when she had collapsed.

The girl sits up on her bed, lifting a hand to her forehead as she foggy memories start to catch up with her. That's right, she'd spent a lot of time running to and fro, healing people. It had... really taken a lot out of her. She supposes she must have overdone it. Also, she was really... -really- hungry.

Not knowing how long she was out, or the physical state she's  in, Estelle decides to get up.

Moving to stand, Estelle quickly finds this to be a poor decision as her strength is just, not there. There's a loud thud that can probably be heard throughout the house as the girl hits the floor, followed by a moan and some mumbling]

[Later on that day, after Estelle has eaten and regained some of her strength, she will be out and about for a walk. Granted she's taking it easy, and was specifically told to not go too far or to use her powers. Thus she'll just be making a quick trip around the block as it were, not going any farther then the two bridges closest to House 12.]

[Once she's up and on her feet, he'll try to move her over to the bed so she can sit down.

He's also assuming she means "why was I in bed like that" and not "how did I get on the floor" when he answers.]

... I can't say for sure, but it seems like you passed out from over-using your power a few days ago.

[Once to the bed, she sits down and puts her hands in her lap. Yuri's words are a bit disconcerting though.]

Oh, oh I see. You were injured and then...

[She then looks up at him earnestly.]

Are you all right?

[trueknight]

[He shrugs, making a short waving-off motion with his hand.]

Yeah, I'm fine. It was all just a bunch of minor cuts and bruises. Nothing serious.

Rita did tell me not to push myself, but... I didn't have this much trouble at Zaude.

This place can really mess with any powers anyone has, honestly. Last week just happened to be particularly bad. [ ... ] ... No one explained any of that to you?

I saw the announcement. That our powers would be reduced. I suppose I didn't fully understand what that meant.

[She pauses and sighs.]

I'm sorry, Yuri.

I can't exactly blame you for not knowing, especially with how new this place is to you, so don't worry about it. Just ... be more careful from now on, all right? Especially if something like that happens again.

I will.

[It had been rather disconcerting, and Estelle had no intention of letting it happen again.]

But that's not what I meant. I've... been a burden to you since I came here. I'm sorry.

[... Sigh.]

You're not a burden. If you were, I would've complained an awful lot by now, you know.

[You know he can't keep his mouth shut for ten minutes at a time, Estelle :(]

[Estelle laughs a little at this.]

I... I guess you're right. I have been apologizing a lot lately, haven't I?

[Don't mind her Yuri, she's a little down on herself at the moment. Plus the terribleness of Luceti is finally starting to sink in.]

More than you need to, yeah.

[... She does seem a little depressed right about now. And he knows he's not the best person to help with that sort of thing, too.

So, he'll try something else. Maybe it'll get her mind off things a little.]

... I'll bet you're pretty hungry right now. I'll go put something together for you.

[Estelle perks up at that. She's starving!]

Yes, that would be wonderful! Thank you, Yuri!

[Yuri you're the best.]

[He'll smile a little at her reaction and start heading out of the room.]

No problem. Just give me a few minutes.

[And gone. In the kitchen now and stuff. Yep.]

[Once he's gone, Estelle's smile fades again. She wishes you had tried to talk to her Yuri, but she understands, so it's okay.

She takes a moment to look out the window. She doesn't actually know that the Kin'Corans are gone, yet. She tried so hard to help as many people as she could, but seeing the strife between them and her fellow Lucetians had been very upsetting. Not to mention the things she overheard many of the Kin'Corans saying. To this point, she had tried to hold back all the worries, fears, and stress of being in this new strange place. However, after what happened, it was... difficult.

A single tear rolls down her cheek, and Estelle lifts her hand to wipe it away. Despite it all, she must stay strong. For her friends as well as herself.]

[Once Yuri's in the kitchen, he gets to work on reheating leftovers from the previous night - cream stew. Really, he does feel pretty bad that he can't be of much help in the "feelings" department. He's bad with his own, and he can be too rough, blunt, and awkward when it comes to others'. It'd be fine if it were a situation that called for a rough/blunt/awkward response, but ...

Well. He'll just do what he can in his own way. Even if she's lost her memory of her previous stay in Luceti, to him, Estelle is Estelle - he still sees her as a sort of younger sister to protect and watch out for. Even if he can't help her the way she probably would like him to, or needs him to, he certainly won't stand by and do nothing at all.

Regardless of all that, this is probably going to take a little while. So, he'll head back toward her room, calling out along the way.]

Hey, Estelle, you want to move over to the table? This is probably gonna take a little while ...

[Estelle knows that Yuri is bad with his feelings, and really she wouldn't expect him to console her. But having him there just to talk to is enough. She really doesn't want to be alone right now.

So when Yuri calls out, she snaps out of her thoughts and quickly replies.]

Yes, I'm coming!

[Carefully this time, she stands up again. She's light headed and weak but at least she didn't stand up too quickly this time. It takes her a couple minutes, but eventually she joins Yuri in the next room and sits down at the table.]

[That surprises him a little, as he was originally heading back to her room to help her get to the table. But hey, if she can do it herself, that's even better. So, once it's clear she can make it over on her own, he'll go back to the kitchen. That stew is probably starting to smell awfully nice at this point, too.]

You feeling any better so far? I mean, aside from being hungry and worn out. [It did sound like she hit that floor pretty hard :|a]

A little, yes. I'm still a bit dizzy though. I think I stood up too fast.

[Not to mention she'll probably have some bruises from that fall.]

How long was I asleep?

Almost three days. We were starting to get a little worried that it might've been something else that caused that to happen.

[With "a little" being Yuri-talk for "very" - for him, anyway. Especially once it hit day three.]

[Three days? Estelle's eyes go wide in surprise. That definitely would explain the weakness.]

That long? I'm so sorry to have worried you.

You couldn't help how long you were out. Don't worry about it.

[He'll give her a small smirk in the hopes that she'll understand that it's not something she needs to apologize for.]

[She was doing it again wasn't she? Although it wasn't so much an apology as she just... felt sorry for causing worry. Or something. She smiles though.]

Yes, that's true. Did I miss anything?

Not very much, aside from those refugees leaving. Things have been pretty quiet, otherwise.

They left?

[Estelle isn't sure whether to be relieved or worried.]

I wonder what happened to them.

From what I heard, they went back to whatever enclosure they came from. That's all we've been told, though.

[There's an underlying tone of "good riddance" in there somewhere. He didn't hate the refugees, and knows not all of them were bad, but he sure as hell didn't have good experiences with the ones he ran into.

But regardless, that stew is heated up and such now. He'll start getting to work with getting a bowl and spoon out, as well as getting some of that stew into said bowl.]
